The Empty Suitcase
The Empty Suitcase explores the profound clash between hope and harsh reality. The story follows Maryam and Hamid, who return to Afghanistan with big dreams of rebuilding their lives and contributing to their homeland. However, they are immediately confronted with a reality full of contradictions, political instability, and social challenges. The play deeply questions what happens to a person's identity and soul when the very homeland that shaped them suddenly slips away and becomes unrecognizable. It reflects the universal pain of immigration, double exile, and the struggle to redefine one's self in a new world.
